Second Chance

Yesterday, I mentioned singer/songwriter Max Carl as one of my links to Kevin Bacon.

Today, I thought I'd post a video of a song written and sung by Max. He's been dubbed the greatest blue-eyed soul singer out there.

I have to concur.

But then again, I'm very bias.

Max and I graduated from the same small, private high school in Norfolk, Nebraska. He's a few (about 20) years older than I am, but the roots in these parts run deep. I met up with him through a mutual friend several years ago. (And I work with his cousin, Kelly. Like I said, the roots run deep here.)

I'd heard this song about a bazillion times, but I fell in love with it when I saw him perform it as the frontman for Grand Funk Railroad a few years back in Comstock, Nebraska.

I think you might recognize it. Here's a link to the youtube video of the song "Second Chance." (I'm unable to embed it.)

Enjoy!

OMG. I love this song. I haven't heard this song in ages, though. Oh yeah, he's got a killer voice.

I think I know what song I'm gonna put on my playlist now. **smile**
